WHO MAY ENROLL AT CAL PREP?

WHO MAY ENROLL AT CAL PREP?

If your child has an Individualized Education Program (IEP), please contact your child's Case Carrier regarding placement in an independent study school. The IEP placement meeting must be held before a student can enroll into Cal Prep.

Please note: Online learning is not for everyone. It requires a great deal of self-discipline and self-monitoring, which are common characteristics of independent learners. Online classes also require a great deal of reading and interacting with others through the use of discussion boards and instant messaging.

FALL 2025 ENROLLMENT  (Semester starts August 19).

  • Fill out this online Google form: (CLICK HERE).
  • You will receive an email with instructions to sign up for an in-person enrollment meeting at Cal Prep.

  • The student fills out this online K12 form (CLICK HERE). Do not try to do this on a phone, it is easier on a laptop/desktop/or Chromebook. After the student, the form will be sent automatically in this order for signatures/approval:
School counselor > parent >AP of Guidance at your school > Cal Prep. Once received by Cal Prep, your student is approved and will be enrolled.
It is important that your student check for an email from Cal Prep about starting their online course. The class will open on August 19, 2025.
